v1.2.0 - Ask Steven & a Redesigned Planning Experience

Released: June 2026

This release introduces your new AI planning partner and a major polish pass across the planning experience.

What's New

  • Ask Steven (AI Assistant) — A rebuilt, event-aware AI chat that can read your guest list, budget, timeline, and vendors — and take actions on your behalf with your approval. Includes a conversation history sidebar with auto-generated titles, a predictive opening greeting, and approval cards for sensitive actions. Credit-metered and available on paid plans.   • Redesigned Timeline — A cleaner timeline editor with inline phase editing and event-type-aware phases, plus a timeline preview rendered as an elegant printable program with selectable font presets.

  • Inline Event Editing — Edit your event title, date, time, and location directly from the event page via an inline edit sheet.

  • Seating & Floor Plans — Assign guests to tables from the Seating page with live capacity warnings. See the Seating guide.

  • Local Currency — Your budget currency is auto-detected for your region (defaults to PHP for Philippine users), with a USD billing disclosure on pricing.

Improvements

  • Consistent loading states — Loading skeletons across event pages now match their real layouts, plus a new mobile navigation drawer
  • Memories redesign — Refreshed Memories dashboard and settings experience

v1.1.0 - Pre-Launch Feature Blitz

Released: April 2026

Our biggest release yet — 13 new features, 6 improvements, and 7 bug fixes shipped ahead of launch. This release closes every item from the Pre-Launch Priority Plan and dramatically improves cross-feature connectivity.

What's New

  • Seating Guest Assignment Panel — Assign guests to tables directly from the Seating page. An "Unassigned Guests" sidebar lets you search, filter, and assign guests with capacity warnings when a table is full. Tables can now be edited inline after creation.

  • Upgrade & Paywall Modal — When you hit a premium feature gate, a polished modal shows exactly what you're missing with feature highlights and a one-click upgrade button. Works across Seating, Vendors, Memories, AI, and Collaboration.

  • Vendor Payment Reminders — Never miss a vendor payment again. Steven now sends automatic notifications 3 days before a payment is due and alerts you when payments are overdue. Includes vendor name, amount, and due date.

  • RSVP Stats in Guest Groups — Each guest group card now shows a breakdown of attending, pending, and declined counts. See at a glance how many from the "Family" or "Bride's Side" group have responded.

  • Timeline Conflict Alerts — Overlapping timeline events now trigger a warning banner above the visual timeline, showing which events conflict and the type of overlap.

  • Layout Planner to Seating Sync — Tables you draw in the Layout Planner automatically create matching EventTable records on the Seating page. No more re-creating tables manually.

  • Ceremony to Timeline Sync — A new "Sync to Timeline" action on the Ceremony page maps program elements to timeline entries using the ceremony start time to calculate absolute times.

  • Smart CSV Import — Upload any guest spreadsheet and Steven auto-detects common column variations ("First Name", "first_name", "Email Address"). Preview your mapped data before importing.

  • Cost Per Guest — The Budget page now shows a live cost-per-guest metric, calculated from your total expenses and confirmed guest count.

  • Notification Preferences — A new "Notifications" tab in Settings lets you toggle notifications per workflow: RSVP updates, memories uploads, vendor payment reminders, task reminders, budget alerts, and general notifications.

  • Task Assignees from Collaborators — The task assignee dropdown now pulls from your event collaborators and wedding party members instead of a hardcoded list.

  • Onboarding Role Selection — First-time users now choose whether they're an Event Coordinator, a Couple/Host, or Other. This personalizes the experience from the start.

  • Tasks List View & Inline Editing — Toggle between table and list views, edit task details inline, and use the redesigned task detail panel.

Improvements

  • Dashboard now shows budget progress, vendor summary, and upcoming payment counts
  • Feature toggles in Settings show lock icons and upgrade prompts for features above your plan
  • Tasks empty state guides new users with starter suggestions and a clear CTA
  • Mobile navigation redesigned with a modern floating pill-style bottom nav
  • Layout Planner gets fullscreen canvas on mobile with responsive polish page
  • Ask Steven AI improved with better scroll, guest names in context, and QR card design

Bug Fixes

  • Public RSVP submissions now trigger notifications to the event owner
  • Dashboard RSVP counts refresh immediately after status changes
  • New guests can be assigned to groups during creation
  • "AI Generate" layout template correctly routes to the AI polish flow
  • Removed stale references to old "Manage Budget & Expenses tab"
  • Fixed deposit double-counting between financial summary functions
  • Hardened Polar subscription checkout with audit logging

v1.0.2 - Stability & Performance

Released: March 2026

This release focuses on stability improvements and performance optimizations identified through code review.

Security & Database

  • Duplicate RSVP Prevention - Added database-level unique constraint on guest emails per event. This prevents race conditions where two users could RSVP with the same email simultaneously.

Performance

  • Guest List Pagination - Implemented pagination for guest queries. Events with 1000+ guests now load faster with configurable page sizes (default: 50, max: 100).

Bug Fixes

  • Inline Editing Stability - Fixed state synchronization in inline editable fields. Updates from other users or page refreshes now sync correctly without causing unexpected UI updates.

v1.0.1 - Open RSVP & Polish

Released: February 2026

This update introduces Open RSVP mode and polishes the overall experience with a redesigned dashboard and onboarding flow.

What's New

  • Open RSVP Mode - Allow guests to RSVP without a pre-assigned invite link. Perfect for casual events or when you don't have everyone's contact info yet. Enable it in Settings → RSVP.

  • Redesigned Dashboard - Your home page now features a Getting Started section to help you track setup progress, plus a cleaner layout for quick access to key features.

  • RSVP Theming - Customize your public RSVP page with themes and accent colors. Make it match your wedding aesthetic with the floating dock UI.

  • Smoother Onboarding - We've streamlined the event creation flow with a cleaner, more focused modal design inspired by modern productivity apps.

  • Guest Detail Dialog - Click on any guest to see their full details in a convenient dialog with optimistic updates.

Improvements

  • Fixed budget calculations to use confirmed seats instead of listed guests
  • Improved loading states with better skeleton placeholders
  • Enhanced security with optimized database policies

How to Access

  • Open RSVP: Go to Settings → RSVP and enable Open RSVP mode
  • RSVP Theming: Visit your RSVP preview page and use the floating dock to customize
  • Dashboard: Simply visit your event home page to see the new layout
