What's inside
From blank room to final seating chart.
Tables of any shape
Round, rectangle, square, or oval - set the capacity and label for each table, from the head table to the kids' corner.
Start from a template
One click sets up a 200-guest reception, an intimate dinner with a head table, or a corporate layout. Then tweak from there instead of starting blank.
Assign guests from your RSVP list
Your seating chart works off the same guest list as your RSVPs. Confirmed guests are ready to seat - no copying names between tools.
Plus-ones counted automatically
When you seat a guest with a plus-one, both seats are held. No more discovering at midnight that table 7 is actually two chairs over.
Capacity at a glance
Every table shows seats filled versus capacity, and an unassigned panel tracks who still needs a chair - so nobody gets left standing.
Sketch the floor plan
Use the layout planner's drag-and-drop canvas to draw the room - stage, dance floor, buffet, tables - and share it with your venue and coordinator.
How it works
Three steps to a chart everyone agrees on.
01
Set up your tables
Pick a template or create tables one by one - choose shapes, capacities, and labels that match your venue's actual room.
02
Seat your guests
Assign guests table by table, with plus-ones holding their own seats. The unassigned panel keeps score of who's left.
03
Adjust as RSVPs change
When a guest declines or adds a plus-one late, your chart reflects it - no re-printing, no version-seventeen spreadsheet.
Seating chart questions, answered.
Is the seating chart maker really free?
Yes - STEVEN's free Starter tier includes the seating planner for events up to 50 guests, no credit card required. Larger weddings are covered by a one-time $15 payment, not a subscription.
Can I plan seating for a 200-guest wedding?
Yes. The large-reception template sets up 20 round tables of 10 in one click, and the Plus plan covers up to 200 guests. Pro goes up to 500 guests per event.
Does it handle plus-ones and groups?
Yes. Plus-ones hold their own seats automatically, and guests stay organized in the groups you've set up - family sides, entourage, sponsors, or any custom group.
Can my partner or coordinator edit the seating chart too?
Yes. Invite collaborators and plan together - everyone sees the same chart, so you're never merging two conflicting versions the week before.
Can I import my guest list from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Import your existing CSV or Excel file and your columns map automatically - then start seating right away instead of retyping 200 names.
