How check-in works at the door
Everything the welcome table needs, on one phone.
Scan to check in
Each guest gets a QR code with their RSVP. One scan at the entrance marks them arrived - no clipboard, no highlighter, no squinting at a printout.
Search by name
Phone died? Forgot the code? Type a few letters of the guest's name and check them in manually in seconds, plus-ones included.
Live arrival tracking
Arrival counts update in real time. See who's inside, who's still missing, and when it's safe to tell the kitchen to start plating.
Built on your guest list
Check-in runs on the same guest list you used for RSVPs - groups, plus-ones, and meal choices come along automatically.
Works on any phone
No app to install at the door. Your coordinator, an usher, or a cousin with a charged phone can run check-in from the browser.
No more paper lists
Skip printing the alphabetized list that's outdated by the time it leaves the printer. Late RSVP changes show up at the door instantly.
From RSVP to reception
Three steps, zero spreadsheets.
01
Collect RSVPs in STEVEN
Guests respond through your RSVP page. Every confirmed guest is automatically ready for check-in - nothing extra to set up.
02
Scan or search at the door
On the day, anyone on your team opens check-in on their phone. Scan a guest's QR code or find them by name, and they're marked arrived.
03
Watch the room fill up
Live counts show arrivals against your expected headcount, so you know when to start the ceremony - and who to call when Uncle Ben is late again.
QR check-in questions, answered.
Do guests need to install an app to check in?
No. Guests just show their QR code, and whoever is running the door scans it from a normal phone browser. No downloads on either side.
What if a guest loses their QR code?
Search their name and check them in manually. The QR code is the fast path, not the only path - nobody gets stuck at the door.
Can my coordinator or ushers run check-in?
Yes. Invite your day-of coordinator or anyone on your team as a collaborator and they can run check-in from their own phone, with arrivals syncing live for everyone.
Does check-in handle plus-ones?
Yes. Plus-ones recorded in your guest list appear alongside the main guest, so a couple arriving together checks in together.
Can I use QR check-in for events other than weddings?
STEVEN is built for weddings first, but check-in works the same for debuts, anniversaries, reunions, and corporate events - any event with a guest list.
Planning the rest of the day too? See the wedding seating chart maker or compare plans on the pricing page.
